Siarad Da, in partnership with the Middlesex University is delivering a new CPD Distance Learning Course focusing on vulnerable offenders, and those at risk of offending, with Communication and Learning Disabilities.
There are 3 full day tutor led training days, as well as: course materials and regular academic support. To achieve the accreditation there are three work-based assignments, Students are provided with academic support and guidance throughout the duration of the course.
Siarad Da, a non-profit organisation, works directly with professionals and families, to Look Behind the Behaviour of challenging behaviour, which often results in offending behaviour. Siarad Da also supports individuals struggling to appropriately express their needs and to better understand consequences and expectations.
This is a CPD focussed course designed with a multi-discipline approach.

Topics covered include:
- Receptive and expressive communication
- Pragmatics
- Cognitive neuro science
- Brain trauma
- Theories about Language Levels and Vocabulary Tiers
On completion of the course you will have achieved a Siarad Da Certificate worth 40 credits at Level 6, which can be used toward a number Professional Practice awards with Middlesex University. The pathway is flexible, leading to undergraduate and post graduate Middlesex University Awards.

Entry Requirements
Minimum Level 5 for Level 6 study. Eligibility is also for those without a level 5 formal qualification but working at that level in their work place.
